High Astromancer Solarian

Solarian

The third boss of The Eye, Solarian is a generally simple arcane heavy fight against a warlock/mage style boss.

Abilities

Wrath of the Astromancer – A bomb style debuff, targeted at a random player and causes them to explode for arcane damage after six seconds, run out of range of the raid.

Arcane Missiles – Fires the arcane missiles three times for 3000 damage targeted towards a random player, this is *not* interruptible.

Blinding Light – 2500 damage Arcane AoE fired off at the entire raid, 20 seconds cooldown/non-avoidable.

Fight

Beginning in phase one you’ll want all your ranged classes to stack on-top of one-another, allowing them to easily avoid blowing up the entire raid should one be selected as bomb, just run away from the pile.

Wrath of the Astromancer will be cast upon players at seemingly random intervals, leading to possibly confusion and almost inevitably on your first or second time through, annihilation of the raid due to missing the debuff/not running the right direction.

Therefore, what is probably the single most important aspect of the fight is to run away from the raid, make certain they find out they *are* the bomb quickly enough, and finally players with abilities such as cloak of shadows or divine shield can save themselves from destruction as well should this be needed.

Finally, most of phase one is made up of the boss spamming arcane missiles whilst you desperately try to keep up healing the raid whenever someone is targeted, using a macro to heal the bosses target works well here.

Phase 2

Entering phase two Solarian will begin to disappear every 50 seconds, during this period around 12-15 non-elite mobs will spawn from three portals and 15 seconds after this the boss will materialize along with two elite priest adds.

AoE damage dealers will have to walk a fine line between killing the adds and allowing the tanks to hold aggro, do too much and you die, too little and the entire raid dies, either way you’ll have to be extremely careful.

Additionally, the two priest adds will attempt to heal both themselves and the boss, keep them stunlocked, interrupted, and burn them down to prevent setting the fight back quite a bit.

Phase 3

Phase three begins when Solarian hits 20%, a simple tank n’ spank style combat phase due to Solarian turning into a massive armored voidwalker and ceasing the arcane missile/add summoning spam.

Within this form she uses fear, arcane bolt, and possesses quite a bit more armor to penetrate, otherwise it’s rather simple, stance dancing, totems, or fear ward can prevent the fear.
