Magmadar

Second boss of molten core, if controlled correctly he is rather easy as well though still harder them lucifron by quite a bit.

Abilities

Fire Cone: Magmadar periodically breathes a fire cone of area of effect damage in front of him. This should only hit the main tank if you are positioned correctly.

AoE Fear: Every 30 seconds Magmadar emits an Area of Effect fear spell. This can be countered by Warriors changing stances or by fear ward, or tremor totem.

Magma Spit: Magmadar will randomly spit out lava during the fight. If he spits one at you move out quickly to avoid DoT effects. If you stand in the fire long enough then when you move you will ignite nearby members of your raid.

Frenzy: Magmadar will grow in size and turn red when this ability goes off. This effect increases Magmadar's attack speed by 150% and is countered by Tranquilizing Shot. Tranquilizing shot is a hunter ability, the item required to learn the ability drops every time you kill Lucifron.

Immolate: Anyone in melee range of Magmadar will experience minor damage from an immolation aura.

Pull:

Have your MT pull Magmadar off to the side so he is facing away from the raid, this is a simple pull really so you shouldn't have any problems. Treat it similar to the onyxia fight in that if he faces your raid your going to get a face full of flame.

Fight:

Have a rotation of hunters ready to tranquil shot magmadar if he goes frenzied. If your alliance use fear ward to keep the tank un-feared, if your horde use tremor totems/will of the forsaken.

Have your DPS groups maneuver around behind magmadar and proceed to beat on him, have a small group of 2-3 healers go along as well to keep the DPS up. If this is your first try you may want to have a few back-up tanks, otherwise it's a breeze.

It really helps to have a nice FR in this fight but isn't needed, If your MT is skilled enough you shouldn't have any aggro or facing problems in this fight.

Having your healer's line up at the maximum range will allow them to step out of range of magmadar's periodic fear ability.
