Buru the Gorger

Buru the Gorger is a rather unique boss fight in that it isn't a matter of tank and gank play but rather all members of the raid are involved in kiting him.

Buru's area terrain

When being chased by buru do not run in the water as that is a sure death, also the eggs that you use to defeat him are on the edges of the water. When these are killed they deal 500 damage to players and around 40k to Buru doing 4-6% of his life.

Each egg also spawns a hatchling that must be killed.

Buru Fight Phase 1-

Phase one has a nearly invulnerable Buru to fight as he has a extremely hard shell. He is immune to taunts and also tanking him is nearly impossible. Before Engaging have 2 groups of the raid form, one to kill eggs and one to kill the spawns from the eggs.

As soon as the combat starts Buru will call out that he is watching a player. That players job is to kite him around the room until he is hit by a exploding egg or kills the player.

Your egg group should take all the eggs down to 3-8% and do not use DoT's on the eggs as they may destroy the egg before its ready. Make sure a couple eggs are ready to explode at all times.

The spawn from the eggs arent to hard but can interfere/wipe a raid if your not careful. This phase of the fight continues until Buru hit's 20% then his shell will be destroyed and Phase 2 Starts.

Phase 2-

When Phase 2 starts buru casts creeping plague on everyone and summons some Hive Zara Hatchlings, he summons more continually during the fight so watch out.

The key parts to this fight are DPS and AoE fear, DPS Buru down like mad with DoT's and anything else you can put on him. All spawns should be ignored/feared by warriors/priests/warlocks.

The Creeping plauge makes almost all heals ineffective unless you have a group heal such as prayer of healing. Support healer's should instead go full DPS on this phase. Most people attempt to drop Buru in 20-30 seconds to avoid wiping.
