Nexus-Prince Shaffar
Abilities
Frostbolt: Just a Frostbolt, 850-1300 damage.
Fireball: Same as above, 1300-1600 damage.
Frost Nova: Just a frost nova, 500-600 damage.
Blink: The mage spell
Allies: Multiple Ethereal Beacons
Fight
Nexus-Prince Shaffar is a pretty easy boss, the only real way to get wiped here besides insane lag/other major problems is the re-spawning adds. Basically when you approach the boss you should see three thankfully non-elite guardians, ethereal beacons to be exact. These guys hit hard but lack greatly in the HP department, abuse them mightily and thus kill them before you move onto the boss himself. If for some odd reason you leave his guards alive they turn into an elite version, the ethereal apprentice, and thus cause much more trouble.
To start the fight send your tank in for the prince and move all the DPS onto the beacons, as soon as the beacons go down you're going to want to move onto the boss while keeping an eye out for more guardians. As the fight goes on more beacons will spawn but if you keep someone watching for this they shouldn't cause you many problems. If you've made it past the initial strike/killed the three beacons without trouble most likely the rest of the fight will pass quite easily as well.
Pandemonius
Abilities
Shadow Shield: This shield reflects spells as well as dealing around 700-900 damage to any melee attackers
Void Blast: 1000-1800 AoE attack, fires bolts dealing physical damage to everyone around him as well as having a knockback effect
Shadow Melee: Each hit in melee from the boss is 100% shadow damage, it really hurts
Fight
Pandemonius is a shadow heavy boss, all of his melee strikes being pure shadow damage means that shadow resistance will be the key to winning this fight. Using the priests shadow protection or a paladins shadow resistance aura would be recommended before engaging, it does save some damage. The real thing to watch out for in this fight however would be the shadow shield, it deals so much damage to melee and renders casters useless that when it activates you need to stop all DPS or attacks completely, even the tank.
When pulling him you'll want to tank the boss in a position that allows you to avoid losing aggro due to the knockback from void blast, tanking against a wall is preffered. Beyond that just be careful and this fight should go smoothly.
Tavarok
Abilities
Earthquake: 40 yard range AoE stun attack, stuns for 3 seconds dealing 900 damage or so a second
Crystal Prison: Randomly hits a party member, deals 10% of the targeted players HP per second for five seconds
Fight
One of those relatively easy tank n' spank boss fights. Not much to do here besides pile on the DPS and proceed to layeth the beatdown upon him before savagely looting his tattered remains. The earthquake and crystal prison spells shouldn't give you much trouble, both are thankfully left un-spammed by the boss and neither should kill someone outright. |
